When you go to the pharmacist...

... do they look at your prescription and try to guess what you’re taking it for? Or do they just know?

  1. It depends on the medication. If it is amoxil (an anitbiotic) we know it is for an infection. We don't know specifically what type of infection. If it is a certain combination of drugs ie. doxycycline and flagyl we pretty much know it's for an STD.

  2. My pharmacist has always looked at me funny since I took a year old pack of contraceptive pills to him to ask if they were still OK to take.

They of course were, but I was 15 and I had read something that said they didn't work after the bbf date.

  3. I think if the medicine is common enough, they know. E.g. if you pick up lithium, they have a pretty good idea that you are bipolar.
