Bleak


I've been wanting to take a photo of one of these for ages - I used to pass on in a field everyday on the way to work, never really knowing what it was. Turns out it's a wind pumb (breeze not tu
rn). Looks kind of bleak there on its own, in the middle of a field, made unaccessible by growng crop.

I like the stark contrast of colours in this pic, it's calming coz it reminds me of the sea and sand... just with a whopping great big wind thing in the middle! lol

This is great - it does look lonely....
Tone has just reminded me that Annie Proulx's novel that old ace in the hole features these in a big way... well worth reading if you haven't already - it's a brilliant book.
