Those of you who've known me for a while know that I have a weakness when it comes to ebay. It is a goldmine of vintage wonders, that is, accordng to me. It is the ultimate charity/second hand/retro shop and it's always open. This evening I have been spending my money in the ultimate vintage shop. My purchases include, for your delectation:
I am watching 9 other items, but I won't tell you what they are just yet.
There are three problems however when it comes to actually buying the items.
1) I only have 2 cheques left in my cheque book.
2) My PayPal account is the Subtext account, and despite my best efforts if I pay for stuff off ebay out of that account it is bound to go awry.
3) I lost my partners cheque book last time I used it to buy something off ebay. Even if we knew where it was I am pretty sure I would not be allowed near it anymore.
You see why I am in a pickle.

Egads -- set up separate PayPal accounts, one for your own use and one for Subtext magazine, asap. There can't be any fiscal shenanigans or it'll hurt the mag and cause a loss of trust amongst subscribers.
Re: Rocketdog shoes -- I have a pair of these (in a different style) and love them.
Exactly Melinda.
I will just have to accept my fate as an ebayer with no paypal, because I can't set up another paypal account - I only have 1 charge card!
What did you used to use for paypal before subtext?!
And I have some rocketdog shoes too, very cool but sadly from schuh, so not an ebay bargain!
Damn right - Ebay is like a retro shop... without the funky lingering smell that all those shops seem to carry as if stale with the epochs of the sixties, seventies and eighties that they were once a part of :)
Raid a piggy bank!!
Well, now I'm brancing out. I've sold on ebay before, without great success because it just takes so damn long to list stuff, and am now taking on the megolith once again.
If you fancy reading my daft excuse for sales patter, which is excruciatingly bad, then hot foot it here, here and here. Bids welcome, of course!
(These links will break after 7 days, sorry!)
